what is the advantage of having a suingle carb rather than a double? (if any) it is an ex rally car so i dont know the reason for having this setup...

Just bought a mk2 escort and the owner stressed to me how rare the manifold was. it has a single weber 45 attached via a lynx inlet manifold...is this a rare/ desirable item in anyway? if so what should i value it at when/if i sell it? cheers!

Hi my names Jay and have owned a string of old fords in the past, but after a bit of a lull and owning a bmw and a troublesome 3 door cosworth i have just bought a mk2 escort 2 door - a real raw ex rally machine that i am going to tame a bit but properly use it as an old skool ford RWD should be. I will post some pics and keep a diary of its 'restoration' as i transform it from a beaten rally car to more of a low riding track car! cheers
