  1. the blower is worth in the region of £3K, the only damage being to the rotor tips, which is relatively easy to repair. If the blower is found then it's easily identifiable as there are some "repairs" that are unique to it
  2. Sorry double post cheers..Nige
  3. I'm currently looking for a 2 door mk1 Escort to turn into a race replica of Dave Brodie "Run Baby Run" super saloon car, has anyone done this as yet?? I know that there are quite a few Alan Mann replicas but so far haven't seen a replica of Brodies car. Back in the '70's he produced a number of limited edition road going Escorts (one of which was featured in Custom car which shows as still being registered & on the road). Anyone have any info on these cars? cheers...Nige
  4. Given the opportunity to buy a mk1 shell that has been professionally restored, would you go for a standard Mex style or one with "bubble/forest" arches if both were priced the same? Having grown up when Escort race/rally cars all had big arches & was de rigeur to own back in the day, I was wondering which style attracts the most positive attention nowadays. cheers...Nige
  5. No worries mate, I registered on Friday, accessed it again Saturday & then I couldn't log back in . Thanks to Andyc for getting it sorted for me cheers..Nige
  6. Keiran, wot the fook have you got in that to run those times?? Respect mate cheers...Nige
  7. Thanks for the welcome guys, appreciated. I'll just pull myself up & chair & get to feel at home, now where did I leave those Hobnobs?..... cheers...Nige
  8. Glad you're happy with the repairs, now get it wrapped!! I was gonna post up some pics of the Brodie car I want to replicate, but hadn't posted up enough stuff . Has anyone on here copied Dave Brodies car yet?? Dunno if people on here would want to see an old '69 Chevy Camaro anyways as it's not a Ford cheers...Nige
  9. Hi, I was directed to this site by a good friend of mine as I'm looking to buy a mk1 Escort & an Anglia 105E for restoration. The Escort is for me & will be a race replica of Dave Brodies "Run Baby Run" car. The Anglia's going to be for my son to learn to drive in so will have a standard engine for the time being. I used to own a bodyshop specialising in "top end" restorations until I semi retired. I recently finished a full resto job on my '69 Camaro which was a full nut & bolt rebuild. The car has a 540 hp small block & is set up fot historic circuit racing I just tried to post a link to some pics of the cars but I didn't realise i had to post 10 times before doing so, DOH!! Once I've done that i'll post up some pics for ya Looking forward to making some new friends here cheers....Nige
