  1. Hey all, Last year my dad purchased a "N" reg mk2 1600 sport which is currently being restored. It was registered in june 1975 so by my reckoning it must be one of the first sports. We were just wondering how rare it is and if anyone knows how early the first mk2 sport were produced?? cheers - Sax

  11. cheers mate and yeah we managed to straighten it out. Ratchet strapped it to the roof with the wheel arch and tank well cut out, straightened the chassis leg and welded the arch and tank well back in. Done the trick
  12. Cheers mate Found some pictures of the restoration (not for the faint of heart) lol Came with a rover v8 in so the bulkhead was all cut back. The decision was made to restore the bulkhead and put the bubble back in. Must of had a bump up the rear back in the day which had pushed the rear quarter in, line and gap was all over the place so when the tank well was out we suspended the rear from the ceiling to try and straighten it out No that is not an ambulance in the background
