  14. As title, made by me for my mk1 drag car, use the standard spring plate and u bolts, with 1/8" wall 1"x1" square tube, reinforced with angle steel These work great and are strong! Very retro, long enough to snub under the front spring eye with bump stops that can be trimmed to length for best reaction 9pen to offers really, I'd take £30 quid collected, postage would be no more than twenty quid, but they are quite heavy! Collection or viewing at dn22 (near retford) Will post pics later, as they are still fitted to the car!
  15. Pair of good 2.8 single leaf springs-as eom veld, could use paint, but great nick, car sat dead level, no isopacks Pair of 2.8 bill steins, no leaks, work perfectly, but could use a clean and paint to be tip top All shackles, bushings, and a pair of 2" lowering blocks included if required at no extra cost Removed as I am tube framing my Capri, so using ladder bars and coilovers, so just in my way! £100 the lot, postage if required, no more than twenty quid by courier Can view/ collect from dn22 (near retford) Loads more Capri mk1 bits to follow, as these were fitted to mine

Thought i would post a few pics and specs of my car here, have a resto thread too, as the engine is currently being rebuilt and a few other mods are taking place..... so anyway, had a mk1 capri since i passed my test a few years ago, i enjoy drag racing, and loved the look of the SA gunstons, so built my own lol So the spec reads: mk1 prefacelift 72 capri 1600xl (tax exempt) Fibreglass wings arches bonnet bootlid front valance Lots of lightening, including acrylic windows, and a swiss cheesed interior single sparco bucket seat (looking for another) autometer gauges rover v8: overbored 20thou high compression pistons viper typhoon cam rhoads lifters steel timing gears arp bolts/studs everywhere sd1 oil pump, non stick relief valve polished lifter gallery heads ported by me, valve guides shortened by me tlr 50 valve springs (1 less coil) standard intake milled off and fitted with 32/36 dgav carb K&N filter manual 4 speed capri gearbox (3 litre) 10.5 inch mcloed clutch soon to be 300bhp nitrous kit (currently 75) with fred controller 4ha rear axle from reliant scimitar on standard leaf springs and shocks from 1600xl slap bars open diff, soon to have v12 jag LSD front 2.8i struts, 1600 springs with 1 coil removed, rear has 2" lowering blocks spare wheel well removed carter 92 GPH fuel pump various stainless exhausts raceway draglite wheels, 10x15 and 8x15, part worn 265x50x15 rears, 225x50x15 fronts it runs and always has (despite the engine being buggered!) 13.6@112 that was with 170bhp ATF (makes 220 at the wheels once the engine has a new cam etc!) and a single direct 75bhp hit of nitrous thats most of it! hope you like, feel free to comment!
  20. this is what my poor long suffering girlfriend bought me last year for christmas, its a Kamtec 1/8th scale shell that i sprayed to almost match my capri! the graphics were cut on the vinyl cutter at work. its fitted to an unknown 1/8th scale circuit car that hasnt run for years that i keep promising to fire up, ive owned that part maybe twenty years, hope you like (im very proud!) this took an age to mask, as only the letters are cut vinyl, all the stripes and window surrounds etc are painted, made a few mistakes, usually peeling off the masking tape and nearly choked on the fumes! (painted it in my kitchen!) and for the sticklers, i realise its a gaa facelift with round headlamps etc, and the gunstons wernt, but it is the closest you can get for a MK1 capri!
