  1. Hey guys just thought i'd let people know in case they didn't that there is a "classic" car meet tomorrow night in Alcester, Warks. It's at the The Moat House Inn, Birmingham Road (A435), Kings Coughton, Alcester, Warks, B49 5QF I think its kick off about 6 - 6.30. This is the last monthly meet on a thursday night, it'll then be moving to the last Sunday of the month from October from 11.00-3.00, apart from December when its on Boxing Day. Anyway last time I went it was decent so definately worth a look if your not up to much else. see you there (i'll be there in my mk2 escort)
  2. Just messaged you about it mate, looking foward to whatever we end up doing
  3. Did these ever exist? I swear i've never seen any, my friend thought they did but then when I mentioned it, he couldn't recall where he seen them and kinda changed his mind. So yeah any help would be great. If not, has anyone ever chrome any mk2 quarter bumpers, or seen any where it has been done? Pictures would be great, it's something i'm thinking about Cheers
  4. Bugger, just realised this is the same day as "The 12th Malvern Classic Car Show and Autojumble". Why is it that you'll have nothing going on for a few weeks and then two things you wanna do come along on the same day!
  5. Thanks for posting, enjoyed watching this alot
  6. Rear window gave it away for me as well. Why the hell anyone would decide to do that is beyond me
  7. Great looking car, as alot of people have stated, always loved the Harrier, and probably the mk2 i'd most like to own next (I wish!)
  8. Still looking at this date mate?
  9. I'm in Florida on holiday atm, wish I was bringing that back with me Btw, you still organising he OSF midlands meet in October?
  10. So, looks like im gonna go for a similar set up, some 7 x 13 superlights 2's and some Yokohama A539 (175/50x13) (not 100% but im seriously considering it) I was wondering if anyone could tell me will I be ok putting these straight on my mk2, or will I need the arches rolling in (I hope not). Any help would be much appricated! XjamesX
  11. Is anyone going to be making it still? Is there gonna be an OSF stand anymore?. Seems to have gone quite on the thread about it in the last week or so?
  12. Any news on this? Is there still gonna be an OSF stand, are they (RRG11) sending out stand passes etc etc?. I'll be going down either way but would be nice to have my car with some other fords and meet some of you guys James
  13. Also, was the steering wheel off ebay? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did it set you back? It's something I need to look at replacing in mine soon
  14. Looking at the before and after of the interior, you have improved how it looks so much already. I'd agree and go with the black carpet, and if you really miss the red you could put it back in again, although yeah, I think the black will look better
  15. 1. ZetecVan 2. Big_man 3. XjamesX (if that's cool)
  16. I'll be coming down, would be good to have my car with the other OSF's on the OSF stand if that's ok? Its a mk2 escort 2dr, not concourse but pretty tidy. Also think my mate is coming down in his mk3 cortina, although don't know what he's got planned yet. Anyway yeah, count me in if that's cool
  17. Done, got alot of love for mk1 fez's
  18. I'll have a word with my friend and hopefully we'll both bring our cars down, can't imagine it'll take too long on a sunday to make it there, although i'll check how far on the AA site closer to the time
  19. Thanks for the help That's what i was thinking / guessing they would be, but wasn't sure, definately what i'd go for, just can't decide whether to change mine, or leave it as it is
  20. Yeah that looks like the one mate, awesome looking mex, and sitting so nice
  21. I was driving in my home town last week and saw a yellow mk3 4 door cortina with a yellow oldskoolford.co.uk sticker in the window and what looked like poss a cosworth sierra behind it (tbh I was so busy looking at the tina I only glanced the sierra, so didn't get a good look as it went past!) Anyway, I didn't think there was any OSF's around here, I don't think i've seen one in bromsgrove since I was a kid! ha ha, so would be interested to know if these cars are based in the area or just passing through, and whether there is any kind of meets going on etc that I am just completely oblivious to! james
  22. Hey, after going to the Old Ford Rally last week in mk2 I was wondering what tyre's the mk2 orange mex was sitting on (that was part of the OSF cars, hence why i'm asking here). I meant to come over and ask but it totally slipped my mind and then we had left, anyway, been thinking of putting on / and changing the alloys/tyres on my car, and though i'd ask as that car was sitting so nice
  23. Thanks guys. Also, I took your advice and asked in there, so hopefully i'll get an answer and will be able to order tomorrow
  24. Real shame, didn't get there until quite late, was some nice car on show, actually said to my friend as we left that I wouldn't be suprised if it got cancelled after that. Why do people insist on bringing there crap modern cars to these things and driving them like idiots. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I find it so annoying at these things when you see modern cars that arn't even remotely interesting in the show area, and nice classic being sat at the back of the overspill car park. Would have tried to bring my escort next month, oh well
  25. Hi, i'm new here, been interested in getting either a mk1 or mk2 escort for about 7 or 8 years now and have finally got myself one (a mk2). So i've been spending a bit more time on the internet looking for bits and pieces etc, insurance etc, so figured I should probably sign up for the board. Anyways yeah im 27, and based in the west midlands. While i'm hear typing I might as well ask, are the rubbers and seals any good from East Kent Trim supplies? I need to get and fit some door glass seal (I presume that is what i'm after, it's the seal on the outside bottom of the door windows???) Seems to be the only one it could be looking at the list. Also it has a long door glass seal on the site, which one will I need if I am buying it for a 2 door mk2? At some point i'll be looking to change the Rear Quarter Window Rubbers as well, so I wouldn't mind knowing if this stuff is any good (i'm sure it probably is) and how hard is it to get it to fit? Thanks in advance + would love to meet any mk1 or mk2 peep's in the midlands
