  1. If you have your tank in the boot do you run your breather lines right back up the front into the engine bay?! cheers liam
  2. Il be there if the weathers nice still
  3. I have the rally designs one also, it just screws on the end then you normaly have a grub screw in the nut to stop it coming undone!
  4. An external gate is only really beneficial with high powered lots of boost cars as it stops turbulance. I did it on my last t34 by welding the wastegate penny up. It does cause more complications, really you want a boost controller and a decent external wastgate. A t3 is harder to do depending on wot sort of exhaust housing you have.. I now run a proper gt30 externaly gated .
  5. Mark..... what can I say!! Calum rang me on the weekend and told me, I couldnt believe what he was telling me To say I felt sick for you fella is an understatement! Was very shocked!! Some pikey little f**cker who cant obviously afford to build one himself has to take someones elses pride and joy.. makes me fume!! Im in the same area near enough so we all have our eyes peeled!! As everyone has said if I get as much of a sniffing of the wherabouts of your car youl be the first to hear!! Gutted for you fella!!!! Liam
  6. Was in the oven with him tonight painting the doors and bonnet..... its coming along!! Not bad for somebody whoes not a sprayer and the first car hes painted
  7. Wayne- Ive had a system from long life before and they did do a nice job, but I didnt think they do manifolds? Correct me if im wrong though
  8. Yeah I showed him how to build a decent gearbox tunnel
  9. This is the idea....... The other manifold builder couldnt get the bends in tight enough to go down from the exhaust ports and back up again to the turbo flange as the engine mount sits about 7" below exhaust ports!!
  10. Thats not too bad..... is that an off the shelf item though? Im budgeting on the 6-£700 mark as its a turbo manifold which needs a external gate take off also
  11. cheers guys.... simpson looks good and expensive Il give them a call tomorrow!!
  12. Anyone know anybody who makes custom manifolds? The guy through ian howell (area six) that looked into making an item for me has dropped out and says he cant do it Dave at retro is too busy, piper are booked up till next year Somebody help, wanted the bloody thing finished for the summer!! cheers liam

  16. As above really... got a mk2 escort bias pedal box in my mk1 cortina which I tryed ordering a remote servo for today. I understand that I will be running a dual curcuit as of the 2 cylinders on the pedal box? The chap on the phone said I either need to get 2 servos at £150+vat each or some companys do an item with two inlets for £400 odd quid What do people use? Any help much appreciated liam

  18. ive got the old ford autos steering conversion on my cortina and i want to fit an rs 4 spoke steering wheel but its a hex fitment instead of spline does anyone know if theres anyway i can fit it :thumbsup
  19. I might test my standard english before I spend thouands on a atlas... loadsa peeps keep telling me it will be fine Then again it will be behind a zetec turbo that will be in the region of 360hp with torque to match Ive heard chaps saying they run them behind cossys and dont break
  20. Anyone seen the civic on a dyno with a leaf blower strapped to it?!! Think its on you tube somewhere... think it made a couple of hp lol Not being funny but surely if you had something powerfull enough to actually make a decent amount of boost dont these people realise you need more fuel to go with the more air? Surely it will just melt like most turbo cars running too much boost without the fuel
  21. cheers for all the ideas chaps, think il just have to see how deep me pockets are when it comes to the time of sorting the rear end of the car out cheers liam
  22. Rod used an english in the van didnt he untill he broke shafts!! Reckoned it lasted quite a while though!! Il ask him next time I get the chance!! Mark, how much you after for the english you have with the panhard and tramp bars??
  23. 60ftman- Where can I get these items from!!? Few peeps have said get quaife shafts and slipper in the english, there quite tough... How tough is the english? and yes im running 13's
