I have been having a clear out in my garage, and what should I find under a pile of my capri bits but an old car .

Talking to my dad it is aparrently something called a jowett. I said that it dosent have a starter and he said that they didnt have them back then .

I also pointed out that its missing at least two cylinders.

He is away this week so I htought as a surprise I would have a go at trying to get it started, here is the result (turn sound up)

 

I love the flames hitting the wooden toe boards under the petrol tank, scared the crap out of me lol.

Yay! Jowetts were built at a place called Idle in Bradford which is where I used to live. There's a Morrisons supermarket on that site now.

Yeah my dad has been trying to rebuild it for about five years but my car bits have always been piled on the front of it so that was the first time i has been run in about 17 years.
