Nevermind maybe next year To be honest mate that was a bit of a daft thing to say. the reason we didn;t go was down to time and a disagreement with the company that runs the tour. Not interested in our readers car? As I said, a bit of a daft comment.
escort col Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Of course classic ford are too busy to attend their own tour, thats why when they came a few years ago they were too busy having some kind of mock medival sord fight using their 1.6ghia wing trims that they had ripped off their car to take any pictures of their readers cars!.I think you are out of touch with your readers. Thank heavens for Retro Ford Magazine, and lots of thanks to Continental Car Tours for such a wonderful event.
thesmith Posted April 18, 2007 Author Report Posted April 18, 2007 sorry to have to say such a daft thing it was just very dissapionting not to see you thier, knowone had responded to my previous post, why not tell us you wouldent be their, it was a shame you missed agood trip.
scrapyard-mutt Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 I think you are out of touch with your readers. Thank heavens for Retro Ford Magazine That'd be Retro Focus Magazine, (now edited by the super flying Astra pilot) you'd be thanking the heavens for would it? Soz Ben M, nothing personal in that, but I find this digging at CF by people who haven't got a clue what time, money and staff constraints Steve is under to produce his mag pretty fuc*ing tiresome....

Out of touch with our readers? I think you'll find that that tour you're refering to was around 4 years ago when the editorial team was completely different, as was the magazine, as was the company that owns the magazine - so it might not be us that's out of touch... I don't mind having daft posts made about the mag as it is now, but come on, having a go about something that happened 4 years ago is a bit much!

Yes it was a shame, and I love going on those trips but it's just how things happen mate. Sorry you were so upset that we weren't there.

So the RF team don't have to make a magazine at all?
