Malta & drag strip

Does anyone have a link for the drag strip in Malta?

 

Going there on holiday next Easter and hoping to slip off there while Mrs Mk2mad goes shopping lol

my family originates from malta (im 1/4 maltese)and trust me you will be in your element at OSF's around the streets!

 

id otn know the drag strip but it is such a nice island.rather busy and has some insane drivers but a great place.

been there mate, when i was younger we went there every year, 2 mellieha bay, went 2 halfar once and watched the drag racing about 10 years ago!! was brilliant, my dads into classic lorries mainly, and osf's so we used 2 go every year!! we know a bloke who has a haulage buisness out there and he has a drag racing truck so we went 2 watch that!! loads of osf's, was brilliant!! they have an atmosphere like no other theres blokes on motorbikes wheeling halfway up the strip in shorts, t shirts and sandles, crazy fookers!!!! theyre mostly pinto's n crossflows in mk1 escorts heavily tuned with carbs and nos etc, there was one bloke racing up the strip with his mate sitting on the nos bottle where the passenger seat should b!!! most of the cars with pinto's n that run 10sec quaters some even run 9's!! fook knows wot they do!! they have a diesel mk3 fiesta all made rear wheel drive that i see in a magazine once it runs 11's a diesel!!! the maltese know how 2 make things go!!! also watched the hillclimbing racing in malta 2!! that was something else!! shut the main mellieha bypass off and the cars are going past 10 feet away from you, no safety barrier, you can feel the wind off the cars going past, lots of mk1 escorts, the odd mk2 escort, hillman imps n stuff all goin hell for leather, watched a really nice looking black mk1 escort roll and get written off, when he rolled,everybody ran over 2 him got him out the car n that, which is what its all about. apparently they do it all over the island at various different places, ive never experianced anything like it it was awsome!!!!
