Sorry Neil but I feel I have to post in opposition to the comments you have made here. If someone wants to express their astonishment and suprise at the seemingly astronomical price of a car, then as far as I can see they should be able to without being stopped in their tracks by anyone.

At OSF we don't like insults, threats, over the top vugarity (in the public forum) and other such things. But expressing an opinion is allways welcome. Debate and discussion are part and parcel of the whole forum thing. Just my two pence worth.

In reply to the OP: Yes I think that is an astronomical price, but good luck to the seller and I hope that the buyer is happy with the new purchase. To me, that would represent more than a years wages, but if you've got the money then hey...

I do take your point, but as I am sure you will recall the pages and pages of debate we had when one of the Harris Escorts was on e-bay recently and a large number of people were less than positive about the price being asked, claiming it wasn't worth it, they wouldn't pay it, they couldn't see how the car could be worth that money etc etc etc

In the end The Harris boys were vindicated when the car sold for more than the starting price on e-bay thus proving the car was worth the money all day long

BUT the fact that there was so much debate about this on here and Turbosport was not helpful to the seller and could have put off potential buyers.

Why should anyone who puts their car up for sale come under criticism from people who dont know them or the car or really anything about the car. Criticism and commentary that could affect the sale.

Is this why Wessie can call any potential purchaser of this car a twat ?

Perhaps I worded that wrong. I should have put direct insults. My mistake.

But then again no-one on OSF knows anything about anything so we should all just be quiet because we are in danger of possibly, slightly, maybe letting a comment out towards someone who isn't likely to hear.

As you said Neil, the Harris Escort sold for loads, and well done to them for that. Obviously there was no adverse effect. Like there won't be here.
