finaly fitted my steels tonight and ........there too close to one arch so close they touch infact i realy want to sort this for the cf show . im guna play with the axel location tomoz but i need a little more room soo

 

should i

 

grind the arch lip off

raise the car half inch

give up for the mo and slap my 4 spokes back on

break the window piss on the seat and set fire to the arse (yes i am that pissed off lol )

I say grind the lip back, it worked for me

 

But if you do dont get the metal too hot with the grinder or you'll fook your paint

put the 4 spokes back on and bring em to the show tool box and grinder at the ready!

 

then charge people to watch you 'showing how to fit wide wheels onto an escort!'

 

You don't really want ot piss on the seat unless its really nessessary!

Mate, messing with the axle location wont work. It moves yes, but 5 miles down the road it WILL have moved back to its original position. Its just the way it is.

My mate had a similar problem and rolled the lip, worked fine for him.

dont grind the lip as u will take the strength out of it !

 

roll it up with an hammer and lots of small little hits take the wheel off and tget ureself inside the arch and just hit the lip up with the hammer try and get it even all the way round and do the other side because although it may not catch now it probably will over bumps etc

i bought a diffrent set of lowering blocks to raise it a touch and im guna try to roll the arch lip
