Nettles Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Try removing and checking the nozzle on the gun for any crap that might be clogging the hole.
mk3tina Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 check theres nothing blocking where it comes out, or a snaggled edge on the wire
old skool freestyler Posted June 9, 2007 Author Report Posted June 9, 2007 first thing i tried but no difference think im gona try a new nossel tip see if that helps god i wish i saved up and got a bigger welder lol
nitrousnutter Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 hello mate, you might have a bit of molten metal in the tip, if you unscrew the nozzle and then unscrew the tip ( you might see that its a bit melted and manky!) then try and feed wire through hopefully the will do it, if not try stripping the handle apart also pull the wire back through the lead and check theres no kinks in it. other than that im not sure mate, hopefully it'll be ok tho
old skool freestyler Posted June 9, 2007 Author Report Posted June 9, 2007 ill try that if not then ill buy some new nossel tips i think its the only thing it can be King cheap welders lol
andrewg1323 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 That or the liners fecked has your wire gone rusty lately? What welder is it?
old skool freestyler Posted June 9, 2007 Author Report Posted June 9, 2007 no the wire aint rusty but the liner is a good idea the welder is a mighty mig 170
andrewg1323 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Take the tip out does wire feed ok then? if so its most likely the tip new liner wont do any harm though! Its a SIP i assume? if so halfords do a refurb kit for £8 (liner shround and tip)
105eee Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Hi I have a sealy welder and this happens to mine when feeding a new wire in, as stated take off shroud and tip and it should come out sometimes mine pushes a small spring looking bit out aswell I assume this is the liner, I just reel the wire back and try again until it comes thru. hth cheers Barry
old skool freestyler Posted June 9, 2007 Author Report Posted June 9, 2007 yea had the welder in bits to day but i have just been told that the tip may have shrunk from the heat of welding i think i need to get quite a few spair tips
