mk3cokebottle Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 hopefully it wont of had the handbrake left on , if it has take a hammer before you attempt to drive or start check perishable pipes and lines ie fuel and brakes, and last of all my favorite try the £50 trick see if it works
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Possibly mate, yes. I would go easy on the brakes until you can flush the old fluid out and check the seals in the calipers, master and rear wheel cylinders. If it hasn't been running for this time, it is worth taking the plugs out and spraying some WD-40 down each bore, and turn the engine over by hand with a ratchet/spanner on the bottom pulley to make sure the engine is not on it's way to seizing (Or seized). Also check the tyres, these are rubber, and will perrish over time. Check for cracks in the tread and side walls
xpackken Posted June 12, 2007 Author Report Posted June 12, 2007 whats a super solid no rott no tax or test 2.8i special worth 2 owners fsh 100k . _________________ Honda CL200

I did think to myself as I typed that: 'Hhhhmmmm, that makes me sound like a gonk' As for what it's worth, can't really judge without pics mate, but if it is CLEAN, £800 I would say, but it really would have to be a nice one.

Davecara Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 You've certainly chosen the right weather to look at a car!
xpackken Posted June 14, 2007 Author Report Posted June 14, 2007 bloody gutted my battery went on my phone so i only managed to get a few pics mainly of undernieth . anyways i will post more up next week when i get the car home i gave a deposit . on first impression it looked poo . but that was just down to the bonnet being fooked . there was no rott on wings inner wings and not a patch or any rust undernieth thankfully the bloke has left it with the hanbrake of but it still feels a bit like the back are locking up a bit .but i drove it back and fourth a few times and it was great . defo one of the most solid capris ive seen . plus i fouynd the car has 500 quids worth of brand new janspeed manifolds and exhaust . only little thing it did do is it wouldnt idle at all but if you kept your foot on it it was spot on . _________________ Miscarriage / Still Birth Forum
