fitting rear seatbelts

just been to the local scrapyard to get some rear seatbelts to fit in my mk5 cortina so i can take the children out in it

 

got some from a mk6 escort £20 going to go and try and addapt them to fit now :mrgreen:

why do seatbelts always lock up i tied a knot to stop it realing back in

 

anyway now managed to free it off

 

waiting for the rain to stop then i can go back out to finish the job

Hve you got them in an upright position ?

 

I'm sure when they are at an angle the lock up.

i getting there now had to cut the piece off which the belt usually hangs through on the c pillar as the real sits on the back shelf

 

ive got one ready to fit still waiting for the rain to clear up

cheers steve id tried that with no luck

 

i had to take the side off and release the cog as it was locked up

 

ok now though

fitted and working well thats my first job done on the mk5 cortina

yes i agree but my wife prefers the roller type for the kids

 

they look ok :D
