Gonzo Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Already bought a new engine for the Cortina and I haven't even got the bloody thing home yet! Just gotta arrange shipping and it should be here tuesday or wednesday. What is it? the 1600 toyota 4AGE engine, complete with everything to run the injection system on it. Should be fun.
Conor Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 'kin hell. Can you do a decent installation diary for it? Would be interested to see what happens and the problems you encounter. I take it it's replacing a Pinto?
Gonzo Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 Nope. Gonna drop it in instead of the standard 1200 precrossflow. Not gonna do anything major with it yet, just tart it up a bit and get it ready for an mot and passing my test in.
tonymk2wagon Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 nice , these are lovely little screaming engines. run well on twin webers too . keep us posted once you start.
Gonzo Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 I was thinking twin webers, but the lack of evidence as to an off-the-shelf inlet manifold put me off for the moment.
tonymk2wagon Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 try fensport they do plenty of bits for them and import TRD bits too. plenty in ireland so maybe a company there can help too
Gonzo Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 I did have a look on fensport but couldn't see anything... Not planning to fit it for a good while, so plenty of time to look.
