Cleaning Washer Bottle

I'm cleaning up all the engine bay accessories during the engine bay tidy up on the Capri. I've removed the washer bottle but it is badly stained inside. Any ideas on what to use to clean it?? I've always used Autosol chrome cleaner to do the outside so thats not a problem.

I soaked mine in hot water with ordinary washing up liquid then fabricated a cleaning tool by melting a toothbrush handle in various positions to give the inside a good scrub. by the way i have that bottle for sale as i'm after the early non motorised pump bottle for my mex.

Did this to mine a little while ago, fill it with a mixture of hot water and bleach and leave for an hour then wash it out

Or very hot water and washing powder ... leave it to soak for a few hours

Stick it in a bucket of warm water with some washing machine powder. Leave it overnight, it will be like brand new in the morning...

What about vinegar or lemon juice

 

Afterall it's a weak form of acid.

I've filled it up with some bleach with hot water. I'll give you a progress report shortly
