antz Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 can anyone tell me what these are? i got them in a job lot of old fords bits i bought. they are in a FOMOCO bag which was unopened until i opened it to see what was inside. they are prob about 5mm across and have a weird star shape on the underside. any idea what they are or what car they fit?
Wessie Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 almost look like the balls that go in a CV joint *looks again and notices that they are half round*
negri Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 look like dust covers of some description , do the bits at the back look like they might grip/clip onto a screw head ? either that or you have won a silver smarties competition

antz Posted July 22, 2007 Author Report Posted July 22, 2007 whats the numbers on the ford bag numbers have rubbed off the bag was sat in a wet bucket of crap so it was very grubby and the part number has gone
over_head_cam Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 They are end caps for some sort of shaft. The star shape bit is like a one-way barb. Just like the things that hold wheels on to grannys shopping trolley
Gonzo Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 They used to use things similar to that for holding the wheels on kids toy prams and scooters and stuff so probably hold together some kind of linkage or something.
