Facet Red Top fuel pumps

Got myself a Facet Red Top Fuel Pump for the V8. (Rover SD1 & Holley 4-barrel).

Arrived with the pump & instructions. Already have a Filterking to go on (thanx Capriclive ).

Questions:

Various websites quote 8mm or 10mm etc pipes & unions.

Would like to fit braided performance hose & decent fittings.

Whats the best diameter unions/pipe to fit?

- & who is the best priced supplier to go to?

I think you have to run the 10mm fittings with the red top. The threaded holes in the pump are larger than the Sillver top

Its usually 8mm pipe mate, the fittings on the filter king will be this size too.

I used 8mm pipe from B&Q for central heating and connected joints by using a piece of rubber pipe and jubilee clips.

 

It's the stuff that comes in a roll

or you can get 5/16 brake pipe for trucks which is perfect

Hi Mate,

I fitted my red top pump in the boot. 10mm stainless braided fuel line from pump running through the inside of Capri.

Filter King regulator fitted in engine bay, this takes 8mm pipe. I fitted a pipe reducer near to the regulator.

8mm stainless fuel line from regulator to Holley.

Brought stainless fuel line and clips from Vehicle Wiring Products. Tel - 0115 9305454.

The braided line aint cheap, but looks good.

Fuel pressure set at just over 3psi.

This all works fine for me.
