Poor you .... it's not fair for you to have to "babysit" your little bro for that long

i agree, not even my 16 year old would do that for me, he just hangs out with his freinds but when he dose come home i ask him if he has got a job yet, all i get is "dont start mum" , so i now tell him that this is now "hotel mum" , as he gose out in the morning and i dont see him till 9-9.30 at night

thats 1 week out the way , read the new harry potter book in 6 days , dont no what im going to do for the next 5 weeks , they drive me mad last night when i got let down by the babysitter ,so had to take them with me to the peterbough meet , i was so and i dont know what the others thought of me and the kids , lets hope i get through the next five week without pulling my hair out or doing loads of this

I hate the 6 weeks holiday ... the phone calls during the day .. the visits when shes bored at home, the call at 7 pm to find out if i'm coming home soon, the call at 9pm to find out if i'm comming home ... the call at 9.30 the call at 10pm.

The whines when i say at at so and so circuit this weekend

The moans that we arnt going out during the hols ...

 

I have 40 weeks a year of going home at 10 - 11 pm and finding her doing work in the study, sundays is planning day .. quite often saturdays is project planning, or school policy planning, theres more paperwork than teaching now adays .. and thats what i put up with .. my slow times are her busy times .. flat out in summer and they stick her on 6 weeks holiday.

 

All her mates are at work during the week .. so its me that is suposed to take the time off just when its busy.

 

And the worse thing ...

2 weeks holiday in July £200

2 weeks holiday in august £ 800

 

I can understand your problems with bored kids ... but spare a though for us poor spouses of bored teachers

yes i undrestand retro , i think they should do away with this 6 week holiday and split it a week at a time though the school year , it would make everyones life more better, i can never understand why they have this long off in the first place

2 months of my 3 month holidays are over and i was bored from day 1.
