axle movement help help .

hi guys just a quick tech question . i noticed a knocking noise this morning its coming from under my car it sounded like the exhaust hitting the floor pan but its not .

 

so i lay on the floor to discover that when i rock the back wheel the axle seem to move with it back and foward making a knocking sound.

 

what the fook is it im meant to be going to ford fair next week .

sounds like your u bolts are loose or the paddle mounts on the axle are twisted.

Are the springs moving with the axel or staying put? are all the U bolts the hold the spring to the axel in good nick?
