Mk 1 Mark Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 After having loads of trouble with my loom and ecu my cortina would`nt start. . . So i ripped out the omex ECU and loom and bought a MBE967EF ecu and loom and bought a new throttle postion sensor, New plugs, and a rear water pipe for the back on the head so i can still use the heater matrix, Well it still would`nt pluse the injectors and after 3 hours checking and changing things, injectors Cranck sensor wiring, it still would`nt work.. So i took it to SBD (yesterday )to check the loom and found out that because the throttle postion sensor in the T/bodies had a different plug, to the loom for the MBE so i just left it unplugged. . What i did`nt know was the ecu cant read the throttle postion and cuts the fuel to stop it plusing air instead of fuel... Anyway today all sorted loom and ecu powered up lights turn key and. . . SHE`s ALIVE But then igot on the phone to track and road to see if they could fit me in before Sunday but there just to busy, So it looks like i cant take car car on the track now... Gutted is an understatement,So my space is free and i have booked tracktime as well so if you want it Pm me Im sure we can work somethink out...But i will still be there so see you all there also Big thanks To Dick carol and steve @ SBD and special thanks to Kev16v for try to solve the problems that me car Or wiring has caused... At least i can now get my car on the road and enjoy the rest of the year
