Cookie Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Ok, started ripping cortina apart yesterday mmmmm, can't remeber all those bits of rot 2 years ago when she got shunted to back of unit Anyway, gonna be needing a whole host of panels and looking at hadrians selection, well, frankly is appaling So anyone got any suggestions of where to find such things as headlamp panels and front and rear valances,windscreen gutter ends also want fiberglass wings, boot and bonnet to offset my extra poundage I know express panels do them, but fook me its gonna cost billions from them and heard they are'nt even a great fit Here's a pic of the starting to rip apart procedure, excuse the crap quality but the electric run out down the workshop Rammed up againts the wall before dragging it out where she been sleeping for last few years

V8ian Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 There are a few bits available, Some is thru the Owners clubs, others at Expressed, its allways worth a look on BuySellCortina, Most of the underfloor parts are the same as Mk1 Cortina, Inner wings are obviously fifferent,, But I have a front half of a Mk1 chassis rail on my Mk2, so i know they fit
Cookie Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 Cheers guys I think i'm gonna ave to strip it and get it blasted before findind out the real truth on her, its not looking good, think its gonna be a lot worse than anticipated, although inner wings and original top plates are spot on, and the flloor needs very minimal work (famous last words though eh Anyway will keep u posted and must remeber to see bank about re-morgaging house to fund expressed panels xmas bonus
