Fuel cats

Has any one got one of these fitted or heard any thing about them, i was thinking of getting one but would like to know more

Do you mean the tin balls that you put in a fuel tank or an in-line catalyst?

 

I used the balls in the tank many years ago for about three years with no effect on exhaust valve seat recession. Have never used the in-line system. Now all my heads have hardened exhaust valve seats and run super unleaded with no problems.

 

If you're not sure, a while ago the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs commissioned a study into additives to replace lead in unleaded petrol. It may be worth trying to find something on this on the net if you're serious.
