Rick Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 yes its another sierra rear caliper question.... basically iv had a bit of a mock up this morning to plan how im gonna do this. I just need someone thats done this to check its looking right: ---------------------------------- firstly i have the caliper mounted behind the disk with the cable entering from beneath. would you say thats the best way to do it? ---------------------- secondly the slack i have near the axle. Do i make brackets to tidy it up and hold it close to the axle casing?, or find a way of strapping it up to the floor? ---------------------- thirdly this is the rough gap im left between the handbrake lever and the half moon. Does it look about right? i guess i need to make a twisted joint for this? i wish id never binned that copy of CF now that had all this in on the silver mk1 with the green and black stripes)
Rich Sav Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 mine hang under the axle as well i got some transit handbrake brackets to guide the cable and about that halfmoon 2 leaver gap go 2 b&q and get some ally bout 1mm X 25mm length and use that
Rick Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 i have some P clips to secure it along the tunnel i just dug them out the parts bins down the garage
