Yea mate my fuel rail broke so was fireing fuel arond my engine bay at 50psi. So check your fuel lines

The damage isnt that bad to be honest. Its mainly paint work thats gone. All the panels are ok and theres just a load of black soot in the engine bay thats made all the shiney parts no longer shiney Cheers mate. I'll keep that in mind I do know you phill. I've only ever seen you working on other peoples cars and never actually seen you in one of your own! I know the thought is there from a lot of you guys thats whats giving me and my dad the frive to get it back

I'd just like to say thanks to all those on this site and else where that have offered support both on the day and since the incident. The car will always be rebuilt but with all your encouragement and suport that's been given, it has really encouraged me and my dad to get it sorted sooner than later. The car will be back better than ever before YKT!

After going from 45's to 42tb's on my crossflow i presonally think its not worth the money or hassle. I have more peak power had a smother power curve but when running up the strip i just dont seem to be making the same times. My best on 45's was 13.2 now on 42tb's its 13.5 The cost just isnt worth it in my eyes You need new fuel pump, regulator, filters, swirlpot and if you dont already have them braded hoses

Hes right ive had a few rust bubbles show their face and tried flatting and treating but they do come back Welding new metal sounds drastic but it is the way to solve it long time

everything has arived 4my engine build pistons, cometec gasket set, arp stud kit, arp rod kit, new shells and new thrust washers so we start 2moro morn

Was breathing quite heavy and filled the catch tank up easy thats why i thought it was the rings. Dont think it gained power when it was hot but not sure. Going 2 use a different rollers this time and get it re mapped a bit richer so it dosnt happen again. Going 2 use Aldon ive used them b4 and liked the way they worked and they got me 2 my 13.2 previously the pistons showed they had rocked a bit in the bore which is why ive had a hone 2 freshen it up that must of been while it was cold as u said lookin 4ward 2 rebuild it and see what comes of it anyway if i creep in to the 12's il be well happy in my all steel all glass bufty escort cheers 4 thge responses btw much apreichiated

Basically when i done all the injection setup i went on the rollers and managed 170bhp which was perfect cus classic ford show was the following weekend. While racing at classic ford i wasnt getting the times i was hoping infact i was slower than before and i had more power. So went back on the rollers after the show and for some reason i had lost 30bhp?? I decided a winter rebuild was in order so continued 2 use the now 140bhp for a bit of fun on the road Winter arrived and they started 2grit the roads so i started 2 strip the engine thinkin rings had gone or i had lost a lobe on the cam or my cam timing might of moved. But all seemed ok?? My dad decided 2 ring andy baker from accrilite pistons who made my pistons and he said 2 bring them down 2 him and he'll give them a look over. Just from looking at the pistons he said it had been running lean and due to that the pistons had got hot and when cooling had shrank in diameter 2.5 tho which is why i was loosing the power So ive ordered a set of new pistons and rings. Got my bore be honed and goin 2 do a nice fresh rebuild. I cant wait 2 see what its goin 2 achieve once its set up again

ha ha yea it was me well done baz i was on the way 2 jam-sport 4 a last min tune up found out i was 30bhp down tho think ive blown a few rings so no more racing 4 me this year that OSF1 wont be me this year
