I've chewed this over. I don't think that there's much harm me chucking it in. I change my oil frequently enough. So I'll give it a bash and live with whatever consequences there might be.

 

On a slightly different note. What budget compression tester would you guys recommend?

Burton sell a good compression tester - never let me down... :thumbsup:

 

Re oil treatments, my neighbour has a theory on this, that oil companies invest a lot of time, money and trouble in creating the right oils for the different specifications that adding treatments to your engine are a waste of time - me personally unsure... :thumbsup:

it can only do good. ive just done the oil n filter on my mk2 with 1300 x-flow then added that it quitened it down quite a lot :wink:

Yeah, it's not to hard to drain it if it does :D

 

I got bored of my fizz not smelling right, so i threw a swig of castrol R in the tank....It ran great and it smelt real nice....30 miles from home with no mobile my plug oiled up and i had to push it 4 miles to a petrol station. I only use the expensive petrol, and i threw away a tenners worth and then had to fill it up again :(
