psi fuel gauges

anyone got one

 

i just fitted one

 

im using a mechanical fuel pump (which is ok according to the instructions)

 

and it reads 4 psi which is correct but then when the engine is running it goes like the clappers up/down 2-5 psi non stop

 

is it ok

is it not down to the mechanicel pump pulsing the fuel where as the electric pump puting it through at a more steady flow or i could just be talking crap

the pulsing sounds about right, obviously theres got to be a build in regulator somewhere
