does anyone know if there is a difference in manual to auto wiring looms as i have changed my mk2 escort to an auto.

if there is a difference, what is it?

Only guessing, but the loom to the gearbox would likely be different to account for the fact that an auto won't start if it is not in park or neutral. But I'm sure the Escort boys will know for sure...

The only thing I can think of is the auto has a switch which prevents you starting up in gear.

still on a gearbox related theme, how about the reverse light switch. Is that different?

i have bought an auto gearbox and has all the parts i need on it but not sure what the inhibitor switch looks like, does anyone happen to have a pic please?
