cortina history anyone know it or of the car

Hello all

 

My dad is looking at joing the Old Skool brigade and is looking at this Cortina on ebay does anyone know the history or overall condition of this car as it is quite far from us to go and look at. Also any idea on value. Have spoken to the owner he says no major welding been done strut tops original, interior has had vinyl paint put on front seats which is flaking in places but overall a tidy car

that looks like mine in the pics, i.e clean and tidy.

 

mines a very solid car and needs no work other than cosmetic. you can just see tht the paint looks abit flat though to me. VERY hard to say though wioth out having a look yourself. my advice would be that is your serious about it, spend the money on fuel now rather tha nlater on some more expensice parts.
