wow, all good friends apprearing. and as for the plastic comment the 'tina is now unfortunatly on ebay though, i'm on the hunt for a clean mk1 escort shell in a few months, once i've abit of cash saved. this ones gonna be done properly, so the right shell must be sourced! its my dream car so the tina has to go first.

theres a few names i remember too i hope everyones ok. long story short i did a full resto on my orion last year, scrubbed the underside clean and freshly waxoyl'd it, fitted a turbo engine and beefed the whole thing up, inc a full leather interior and some exterior mods. my cortina was my daily hack for a while and when the onion was finished i let her have a rest again. (the missus dont like the cortina in the cold weather cos theres no heater ) but the damm thing has just given me problem after problem after problem. so now i'm stuck. i've got to get myself a new daily driver and i'm on the hunt for a new project car soon but need one gone first. i dont know which one to sell. do i sell the beloved cortina, 3 years loyal service with 1 breakdown to her name (but it might just be time to move her on anyway) or do i sell my orion mk2, perfect on paper, mint , never welded shell, turbo engine, leather interior, everything tweaked to a T. its very pokey when it runs and has about 170hp, plenty for the average chancer. its had thousands spent on it. but it just wont stay running. i had 2 breakdowns yeaterday, and that was only after having fixed it the previous day for another completly unrelated one. the thing is just a money pit. hence why i'm back. i might be selling an osf, and i'm certanly on the hunt for one. but not yet, as said i need to behave for a while and see who i need to pay for the privelage etc etc etc. so there you are, my return. not so graceful .

i got one of these. i cant rate them enough, they turn so you cant break the steering lock, it takes 22 minutes (in tests) to drill the lock and are well known now for there robustness. many "chancer" car theifs simply wont bother.

i listen to music made 10 years before i was born. i have a car twice as old as me i have no credit cards and pay for everything in cash. i do have a bank card though. i know what a condensor is. i actually still have albums on vinyl i know what 4 and 5 star is. i also know that my car used to run better on it the most modern gadget on my daily driver is an automatic choke.

true about the orion, but the shark tooth alloys had a "clip on" centre panel, it looks like theres a space there for locking centres, like the early 3dr cosworths.
