surfingturnip Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 dunno why this has just occured to me but how easy or straightforward is it to convert an auto into a manual?
over_head_cam Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 Easy as an easy thing. You just need all the bits from a manual that your auto doesn't have and swap them over 1. Gearbox 2. Pedal box and clutch cable (master and slave cylinder if it's hydraulic) 3. Clutch 4. Flywheel and possibly (probably) starter
surfingturnip Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 thought that was the case, cheers ohc
KJ 1320 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 and you might need to fit a spigot bearing
ann_capri Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 you forgot one thing boys, he will need the manual prop , as 9 times out of 10 they not interchangeable, as auto one is either longer or shorter, if its longer it gose into gearbox to far and wont turn, lee has done no end
