Ok, this may have come up before (tried a search), and i realise this is an engine question really - but i though it best to try the main forum for this one.

and as such anyone got any thoughts on the info contained within, specifically port flow/speeds?

interesting , i can't get the port one to work but the running in stuff made sense

I tottally agree with the running in methods.

 

I think the ports thing only apply to modern bikes engine where the ports are too big as standard and reshapng them increases gas speed hence more power.
