stoppodriver Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I'm going , ( going to be racing next season ) I thought Dean was going to take his Status Quo replica . Regards AL.
Dean Vale Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Yes mate I am taking my Quo mk1 Should be on the track as the pace car again. Come on people lets make it a classic ford night on and off the track!!!! The racing at arena essex was great to watch it will be a great night. Come and say HI! Cheers Dean Vale 139
minim4rt Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Posted September 6, 2007 Sounding good. Im trying to get my dad to tave his mk1 van but he wont drive it that far.
minim4rt Posted September 10, 2007 Author Report Posted September 10, 2007 Good racing last night with the classics but what was that twat doing in the number 9 mk2 rs2000? He was memtal and nearly destroyed that mint anglia!
stoppodriver Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 I believe he's going on to another formula next season and that car is for sale , that's only the third black flag in the classics . Thought they were very good last night , 15 cars turned up , which is the most they've had at one meeting . There are actually 20 cars now competing regulary but not all of them make it to every meeting . Hopefully if next season a few more cars are prepared - it should make a great spectacle . Well done Dean , made it onto the track as Control Car again - looked great under the floodlights . If you haven't already seen it , have a look at the Classic's own website : www.classic-hot-rods.com Regards AL.
Dean Vale Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Thanks Mate, I am now the official pace car for the classic hot rods dont look like i will be able to make Birmingham but I do aim to be at as many meetings as possible. Unfortunatly back in 1974 not enough pics were taken of the original car dont want to make that mistake again, so if anyone has any pics of the car from last night at wimbo which they would like to send me via e-mail I would be very grateful. Also does anyone know who done the video last night as by the time i showed my dad how to use the camera we only managed to get the final so would like to get a copy. Cheers Dean Vale 139
stoppodriver Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 My brother took some pics last night and I think he has some of your car from Arena Essex , Not digital though - so I'll let you know when they're processed . Regards AL. P.S got to meet George Polley last night , talking about how he built the 111 car ( red Anglia ) . Really enjoyed the meeting .
