i`ve been in the garage all day,getting the engine out ready for its re-build and re-paint. all was going well until i took number 3 piston out. it`s cracked in 5 places and wrecked the bore! the blocks scrap! i`m so pi££ed off has anyone got a decent Essex 3 litre block and pistons they dont want? cheap as poss please cos i`m skint now i`ve bought stage 3 heads, V65 cam kit, all new gaskets, oil pump, and the machining work on the supercharger!! need one ASAP cos the racing starts in April!! cheers

could do but still need a piston. thought about getting some Accralite`s but at £150 each they`re a bit out my price range! looks like i might have a complete engine now tho. got to make a phone call and plead poverty!!

Havnt posted for a while,so here`s a little update! the rear end has been cut out and is having a 3x1" box frame welding in(this sunday) and a brand new 9" ford axle, with adjustable 4 bars, adjustable shocks, Strange shafts,LSD and 4.56:1 gears. all ali floor and ali wheel tubs then carpeted throughout. the front end has been lowered 2" aswell. got some 8x15 Centreline wheels for the back, just need some 5x13`s for the front. the engine is now a 3.5litre Rover v8, modded heads, 390 double pumper carb, electronic ignition,kent cam etc. i`ve also got a supercharger off a new shape Mustang to go on. and also a Janspeed twin-turbo set up aswell!! oh yeah, and 100bhp of nitrous! car should weigh around 800kg(without driver) and have around 500bhp at the wheels(no gas) so should be interesting on the road!! i`ll take some pics sunday when the rear ends in. yee ha!!

got the rear floor, the wheel tubs and the tray for the fuel cell in tonight. hoping to get the engine in place on monday so i can make the mounts up.

GUTTED!! the v8 wont fit!! its too long! looks like i`ll have to fit a 1200 super lump now then! time to drown my sorrows i think!!
