mk1, mk2 steering wheels

Hi can you please tell me if a mk1 escort steering wheel will fit a mk2 escort or is the splines different on the steering colum.

mk1 are smaller the same as mk1&2 tina, corsair anglia & capri.

mk2 are the same as mk3/4/5 tina mk1 granny & pre facelift mk2 granada

nope acutly late mk1s have the same spline as mk2s,i fitted my rs wheel from my harrier on my mk1
