urgent help needed Mac masters

Hi I'm just doing some pshp for uni on my new mac and when I use the brush tool I'm getting lots of over lapping lines and edges and it's doing it with the rubber tool too. Almost like i'm pressing the button lots and there is not a smoothe fade. everything is set to normal and I have tied fiddling with opacity and flow etc Any help really soon would be great. Thanx alot

sure your not using a feathered brush as oppose to a solid one?

 

no idea if its anything to do with the mac... unless your mouse is broke

If you save it, close photoshop and re-open the file does it still look the same way?

 

I've had my old mac leave odd lines, but it was the way it rendered the screen rather than photoshop.

 

Can you do a screenshot and post it up so we can see? Or install 'Jing' and do a quick video

Cheers for the advice, I wondered if it was maybe because the screen is so high rez or something.
