would this make my car run quite rough

every now and then when i start up my car it seems o be only fireing on 3 but as im getting a new manifold this week i thort ide take the old one of

to find this so my question is would the broken manifold make it feel as if its on 3?

Probably I dunno I would imagine your compresstion would have been crap in that cylinder

It wont have helped the running but I doubt it would have caused a misfire.

Do the usual checks mate:

 

Plugs and points, cap. Make sure all the leads are on properly. Is it damp?

 

 

All those hard launches seem to have had a detrimental effect on the manifold

i will check all of the things today but cant see if it makes any difference till my new manifold gets here cheers for the advice

it shouldnt make a big diferent wouldnt cause a misfire and u can tell if its misfiring or jus lacking. is the manifold that broke got any blockage or build up as that would cause problem as the gases wont escape and its trying to stall the engine. maybe why it finally gave up and spilt nice and neat.

no its not blocked just a pain lol but will get some points plugs leads this week but i can do anything till my new manifold is here

The plugs points and I'm sure the leads, were new for my runs at shaky earlier this year. if you change the points, do the condenser as well
