CapriBoy Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Does anyone know how I can do this? Just so you know it's my dad's old capri laser reg no. C418 EKO Thanks
Smudger105e Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 The enquiry is complete The vehicle details for C418 EKO are: Date of Liability 01 11 2001 Date of First Registration 27 02 1986 Year of Manufacture 1986 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1593CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour BLUE Vehicle Type Approval null The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry. Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle 6 Months Rate £99.00 12 Months Rate £180.00 But I don't think you can find out who owns it now, this would be a data protection issue.
CapriBoy Posted October 1, 2007 Author Report Posted October 1, 2007 could i not do one of those checks where i pay the dvla and they tell me all the keepers etc.?
negri Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 i think you need to be the registered keeper . they send you out the previous details . dont think you can do it the way you want to
Jubfab Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 no can't be done. The request the info is if your the registered keeper. It costs insurance companys to get this data (say for a hit and run) I think it's £15. I believe if you hired a private detective they can obtain the info on your behalf but it's gonna cost. Given it's not been taxed since 2001 it's not hopeful it's still around ...
CapriBoy Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 The thing is my dad sold it to a capri collector so there's a chance he might not have scrapped it and it's sitting in a lock up somewhere... Is there absolutelt no way i can find out who owns it without hiring some detective?
escamino Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 If you know a friendly bailif, they can do it for you.
