oldskoolraver Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 as i'm still new i just thought i'd see what the best mags are. i've seen classic ford and bought a couple of copies over the last two months. someone said that retro ford is ok as well...but i haven't seen this anywhere? what eles does everyone read? or is it a case of buying both if you can find them?
Morley Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 I'm biased, so i'm not going to answer... But i am going to ask what sort of Old Skool Rave you like... Or is it just a coincidental name?
Mk2Jo Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 If you are looking for purely Old Skool Ford mags then Classic Ford and Retro Ford (quoted alphabetically and not in preference order necessarily ) are the best mags on the market. I believe that while Classic Ford is widely available, Retro Ford is currently a little more difficult to find in the shops although I always manage to get mine in the local Martin's newsagents. Put a post up in Classic Ford and Retro Ford rooms on the board and they will be able to advise you where you can get them from. PPC mag is also a good read but it covers old skool everything - they also have a room on this board - have a look in there to see what they are about
Burns Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 both retro and classic ford are sponsors on here mate, pick up a copy of each and see which you fancy PPC is a good mag also but not so closely focused on the blue oval

Or is it just a coincidental name? probably coincidental ...but i'm guessing you're from retro ford? i'll try and hunt down retro as my mate said it was good. i've bought ppc mag before and its a bit rubbish and full of bullshit tbh.

I'm sure that Al would be pleased to hear your constructive comments about the mag in his room on here ..... after all, without readers comments, changes and improvements don't happen

HI mate, the latest issue of Classic Ford came out last Friday (20th Oct). You can pick a copy up in your local WHSmiths and we're pretty well stocked in news agents, corner shops, big Tescos and petrol stations across the land (there are a few barren areas but you can't have it all). Next issue's on the shelves November 17th. Don't miss it! Steve, Classic Ford
