72mk1escort Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 I brought a memory card for my psp today its a 2gb pro duo made by sony i put it into my psp it read it fine so i plugged my psp in to my pc via the lead and put some music on there. It all worked fine then i decided to put some videos on it,i did so using an online guide and unplugged the psp and tryed to open the video menu up it sayed corupt data so i switched off the psp and plugged it onto my pc and it would'nt find the memory card! So i tryed unplugging and switching on my psp and it was saying insert memory card and its put it perfectly i tried taking it out blowing into the slot and blowing the memory card ( the usual trick) but nothing still..... All that is happening is the light is flashing when you insert the mem card but nothing else (it just wont read it or find it) Could the memory card possibly need a format using a memory card reader or somthing or could the memory card be faulty? I would really appreciate any help guys as this is giving me a headache now
flyingbanana Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 the cards are just like a small hard drive...they can some times be screw up and be set has un-active......but 1st go in to your control panel/system/device manager and see if it see in the list...if its not...then its def not being seen....have u tried switch off and on agai...(both) if its been set has un-active then its needs to be set has active and you need a program like partition magic ...plenty out there...hope this may help
72mk1escort Posted October 18, 2007 Author Report Posted October 18, 2007 I mean it shows up in my computer as a removable disk as normal but when you click it,it says insert disk into drive.I am really unsure what to do to solve this problem?
Burns Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 turn it off and back on again seriously, reboot the pc and the psp, it's worth a go
escort new boy Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 when you plug it into the pc you have to turn the usb on via the psp
72mk1escort Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 Ive done all of them things and still nothing?
old skool freestyler Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 corupt data normally means its fooked mate as ps2 memory cards do the same if you cheat and save the game to much i would go shout at who you brought it of
old skool freestyler Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 when you took it out of the computer did you use the safely remove hardware its the little icon in the bottom right of the screen cause if not then that is what could have coursed it to fook up
72mk1escort Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 I cannot format it as i do not have a memory card reader and thats the only way that might work.
flyingbanana Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 surly if you can see it in via pc...should be able to format it...right click on the removable disk and see if its got format ....if not find a card reader to format it on
72mk1escort Posted October 19, 2007 Author Report Posted October 19, 2007 Ive tried to click format on it and it just says insert disk into drive??? i think i need to go and get my self a memory card reader!
