Our Northern Sunday run out was the second time my mk1 had seen rain since i bought it nearly a year ago

But what fun i had driving back from Penrith area. We had left the other guys there were just me my Dad and my mate in his mk2 driving through kendal after going over Shap fell. ( An awesome open road where you are left alone to scream through the countryside 8) ) Back in Kendal i came across my favourite sideways corner from years ago when i was 17. This was the first time id driven the mk1 in the rain with the superlites on and all i can say is she hung out like a good'un i had FULL opposite lock on round this bend and loved it  . My Dad just shook his head

Glad you had fun on the way back. We got stuck in a long queue of traffic on the A65 stuck because the Clio at the front wouldn't go faster than 35mph. Me and Si managed to get past him about 15 miles later on the dual carriageway near Skipton. Foot to the floor and only lifted when we came to the roundabout.

:twisted: I had forgotten what fun was to be had in the rain. Also chased my dad away from a roundabout and was all over his bumper up to an indicated 100 mph!!! I got a near stock GT Xflow and he has an RS2000. maybe its the rollerskate wheels i run because at 100 mph in 4th my valves bounce

Is that the road that runs parallel with the M6 (in parts)???. If it is that is one of the best roads I've been on, last time I was on it the kids in the back were screaming for me to go faster and when we got to Kendal I had to stop coz the missus felt sick!!!

driving in the rain is so much fun!! when the capri was on the road i was made up if it was pissing down, id get in it and do laps around the wirral going from favorite drift corner to favorite drift corner - fecking brilliant! back in colledge i used to give a girl a lift in and one day i went to pick her up and she stck her head out the door and said "you'd better go, im not allowed to get a lioft with you anymore dad says he was follwing you last night for over 20 minutes and you lost control on every corner":lol: how i laughed! The starlets good fun too but its a bit harder to do it on the throttle without slipping el clutch so i feel bad on the poor little thing sometimes!!

Hehe, right at home :P

It's indeed very fun for me too, but even the simplest of tasks such as pulling out of a junction, turn into sideways antics for me (welded diff) It's fun until you've got a truck that refuses to slow down coming towards the drivers door ha.

I think I might be forced to go and patrol my local industrial areas tonight, since it's slightly wet

Oh btw, your Capri looks awesome in your sig Daveyboy
