lee_capri Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 im getting me car very soon right want pinto power in it have tuned engine,have a 4.1 diffy thingy some ware in shed bit's needed to do build,or change as int done one for long while dokey year's spring's to mind right here we go gear box prop engine mount's r/s type what else would i need,will i need to make any alterration's im sure the last one i did 20yrs back we put some washe,s under the engine mount's to raise the engine and put it on a cross flow box. the boy's who are running tuned crossflow's are they useing the standed box,if so my tuned pinto would be alright on a crossflow box what u think,what's the diff between the r/s box and a normal box

Twinkle Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 i have used a 4 speed xflow box, kept the steel sump etc by using slightly longer steel mounts, rs rad with the top of the rad shroud panel trimmed back and an electric fan

Twinkle Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 prob a 3.7 or a 3.9 wopuld be good. i like the 4.1 though personally as it gets ogg the traffic lights a bit sharpish, even if it does spin up easily inthe first three gears pulls well in 4th from low down all the way up to motorway speeds

Twinkle Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 they are 175/50/13 i think off the top of my head, lowered on 1.5" blocks at the back and 2" at the front and no rubbing but the exhaust is a bit scrapy at times on speed bumps!!
