Tigran Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Organising a southcoast meet for all retros not just fords. Looking at the last weekend of the month at the mo. Anyone who's interested bosh your names down.
emu Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Just a thought, but the burnin' bournemouth boy racer cruise thingummy is on at ringwood raceway at the end of november....perhaps we could show em all some proper cars?? http://www.westover.org.uk I know the vast majority is plastic but they have to start somewhere!!!!
Tigran Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 I'm liking the idea of showing the kids ('cks sake that makes me feel old) some real cars. But I was thinking perhaps meet at the sandbanks in poole then cruise on over to get some food. I deffo think a old skool cruise would be cool.
sparkycapri Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 im up for meeting up have got contacts at ringwood raceway i can hear the cars from my back garden but it usually depresses me as i no how many capris cortinas and grannys get trashed there!! banger racing sucks!

Tigran Posted November 6, 2006 Author Report Posted November 6, 2006 Dunno, whatever the masses decide on i spose. TBH I just read the description and it sounds ueber chavvy, but I'd be happy enough to hold it there if others agree.
emu Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 its probably much chavier than that!! Like I say, it just sprung to mind when you said about a meet up.
sparkycapri Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 although it's on my doorstep i would rather meet some where else. where about at sandbanks do u want to meet? or do u think that some where on a more major road would be better, as people who dont know the area might find a bit easier?
Tigran Posted November 6, 2006 Author Report Posted November 6, 2006 We met in the large car park at sandbanks at about 11 last time and there was a load of space at the back. Then perhaps cruise up to a nice pub that the FFOC use for their meets. The avon causeway hotel/pub? Or if people are coming from near there in the first place they could meet us there. Or summat.
sparkycapri Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 avon causeway sounds good as its quite easy to give directions to just need to check that no one else is meeting there at the same time as i think other clubs meet there quite a lot. last i heard dorset capri club meet there but i think its the 1st sunday of the month. don't want to step on anyones toes!
Tigran Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 I'll give em a tinkle and see if there's anyone they are expecting.
Ian1300 Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I'm up for the meet at the sand banks then curse onto somewhere else sounds sweet jet let us know the times and dates and i'll be there.
Tigran Posted November 7, 2006 Author Report Posted November 7, 2006 Right then. *puts foot down (gently and democratically)* So that peeps can get summat into their diary should we say Meet 26th Nov 11.30 at sandbanks then aim to cruise up to the pub for half one? People can then meet either at the sandbanks car park or directly at the pub. Howzabout that then?
Awesome Al Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Hi guys, yeah me & my posse (six cars) will be up for that, it's on our doorstep, like the sound of kick'in some chav ass, with one of or the fastest osf in dorset it should be a breeze, but a sunday pub meet also sounds good, we'll meet you at sandbanks for the drive. so weather permiting we'll be there?
Ian1300 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 SOUNDS RAD!!! one problem i don't know where the sand banks are?
Tigran Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 They be 'ere It's real simple to get to, even I didn't screw it up on my first go. As you get to the point in the road where it skirts round a bay and some marinas (not the BL tat - the boat kind) you will see a nnnnmahoosive car park on your left, go in, turn right in the car park and head to the back, I'm sure there'll be some retro hedz already there. Looks like we may have a decent turnout as I have a couple of mates coming down from southampton and hopefully get some dubbers up for it as well.
oldskoolfordfreak Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 hey there i might be down from bristol as a cruise club from here will be attending and the missus might have her car on a stand there
Tigran Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 Bump for those who haven't seen. OSF freak would be cool if you can pop down to the meet whilst you are down
