I was talking to my father earlier and was telling him about all your mental cars on here and he used to go santa pod a few years back now and he said to me what are the duratec cars doing on a quarter well i said not as quick as the 2litre guys and he said surely in the right hands they would be faster is this possible or is father being a father

Not many Duratecs about in oldskoolfords really yet . There's a few being built though so we'll see what they go like soon enough .

gaz you know i love a pinto ,not so keen on the zetec ,love the yb turbo but it aint me,i think the duratec is going to be very popular next year some engine builders are getting very good power out of them , it aint fair to compare times up a 1/4 mile strip ,if you build a strip car it will be no good for anything else you only have to look around at some of the cars on the scene how many people do you know that have 11,5 sec strip cars and also rips everything up on the track?

I would like to see a motor that's really quick on a track and really quick on a drag strip without having to alter anything between the 2 events . Same tyres , same suspenshion , same gearing , no changes at all . Plus it must be able to drive on the street without needing a trailer . Who's got one then ?

Well if brand new £100,000+ supercars can only run low 13's or maybe just dip into the 12's on street rubber without gas then if an oldskoolford can do this it's fast
