After talking to a few people , i think i am right in assuming that retroford wont be covering brighton speed trials, shame that cos their coverage of osfdc in my opinion is great and i,m sure they would have done an equally good job ,

So surely now up must step mr phillips and classic ford mag and seize the opportunity to put a smile back on some of his disgruntled readers faces and plaster his pages with words & pictures of our own mk2 jo, v6col, & ron harris, i for one will be there cheering them on with many others from our osf family , and mr phillips in case you dont know who they are, they will proudly have WWW.OLDSKOOLFORD.CO.UK on their cars ,

anyone agree with me :?::?:

i,ll get my coat then :wink:

I think you are right guys - there will also be other old skool fords taking part so there should be some good cars to cover .... so, Gareth Charlton .. new man at Classic Ford .... I know you will read this ... you need to get down there and cover the Speed Trials :!::!:

Just a footnote to this .... sadly I will now not be racing as Dave and I have parted company after 5 years .... however, Dave will still be racing the car there along with Colin and Ron. After 4 years of waiting to take part I am gutted but hopefully, I will be there next year :twisted:

i reckon both mags should go then have a big fight and get rid of the animosity :lol: then make up and just get on with pushing out some more good issues out.

Animosity? What animosity? We love Retro Ford and the two Bens — they make us look good! Only joking :D !

Actually I think the two mags are just getting on with their own thing but obviously there's gonna be some competition between the teams - it's part of the job really.

Ben and Ben, if we bump into you at Brighton we'll buy you a beer and give you a big hug (actually, maybe not the hug bit)!

Probably not mate but it was meant as one.

Ok so there is a bit of friction between the two mags, but like I said it goes with having competition. The thing is though, I've never even spoken to the other editor and only a bit with the dep ed - and that was when he was being featured in Classic Ford - so for my part I've got nothing against either of 'em as I don't know them, I'm sure they both top guys - they're into classic Fords for a start!

I think both teams are just trying to do what's best for there mag which is what we've gotta do.

Like I said, if I bump into them I'll buy them a drink. I can't say fairer than that. :D

It's very easy to say things on a forum that gets taken the wrong way. Mr Phillips i would have thought that you of all people would know that by now after many a heated debate on several forums.

I have been told that Morley has been getting about on Forums for a couple of years now in various guises (mk1morley, Morley, RFMorley) and i think it's fair to say that he is not only a Forum whore, but i think he learnt his lesson about what to put in a post... Although some on here are quite random.

There is nothing better than sorting something out in person in my opinion. If there are any beers being got in, mine will be a Grolsch please. If we are fighting, i will be in the corner begging you not to hit my face.

As i have said before, there is no point in the two mags bitching at eachother, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses. But having two mags makes it makes it better for us the people that love Old Fords.

Now, back onto the Subject of Brighton Speed Trials...
