what gearboxes fit a 1600

Mk2 Fiesta,

Mk3 Fiesta,

Mk3 Esc0rt,

Mk4 Escort,

Mk5 Escort,

 

Petrol or diesel, 4 or 5 speed. (5 speed will fit engine but not the car without mods.)

some one told me to put a 1.1 box does any one know why

Maybe they mean the 1.0 litre gearbox ? Mk2 950 5 speed box has a 4.3 final drive giving rapid acceleration

sounds good i have got to pick a mk2 fiesta for scrap so i will keep the gearbox

the gear ratios are more or less the same on all mk1 fiesta boxes so theres not much if anything in it.
