ermmmmmmmm can any year be bolted up to a 2.8i manural box,had a problum with a twin cam yr's back,the problum was trying to change a auto to manurel and had to go get the manurel engine to go with box,i done no about the cosworth one,has any one got one in a escort :thumbsup:

would any-one no of a rought price this would cost to running throttal bodie's and what else would be needed to make it run,and would you consider it a worth while project engine compaired to the pinto :thumbsup:

If your after bodies youll be needing a standalone ecu which can start to cost.

 

Up until recently i was planning this swap for my mk1 cortina. If you buy a complete car youll make a bit of money back if its got a good box and if the interior is decent.

 

Its best to use the standard ecu for budget reasons as bodies and carbs will get expensive unless you can use one of those 2d mapping systems. Cant see why not but i havnt heard of it before.

the 2.8 box fits but you have to play around abit so that the clutch works properly, only because the 2.8 fly wheel is smaller than the 2.9.
