the car has had a chequered history ...

At one time it had a different engine as the tunnel that was in the car wasnt a standard auto tunnel, i got the car with that tunnel allready removed .. but the car was used by the Fire Brigade at one point and after that it went to some research establishment ..so may well have allready had a v6 in it ???? i did have a pic of it with a load of equipment in the back scanning a road , may still have it ...

After that it had a 1300 auto re-installed and a doris owned it for a few years, she then sold it onto a guy called tim... he then sold it onto the customer of mine as a rolling shell .. he wanted a V6 in it so we fitted one how he wanted it fitted .. under the bulkhead, i would have prefered to move the bulkhead back a bit, a new tunnel was fitted along with an Atlas and antitramps .. a custom exhaust was made using a box down the side of the tank to keep it neat, a brake servo was fitted at the same time using a remote servo. The guy ran it around for a few months and then parked it up when he bought another toy, i then bought it. I got a call from Geoff Lane asking for it to be at a battlesbridge show on the saturday morning before the show, the car was still in primer and original paint .. so i painted the car overnight and the car made it to the show with the fumes still coming off the paint .. this was in 2001. I then ran it around for a couple of years .. and rattled the engine one night playing with a 911 .. it stood outside mine like this for a couple of years .. and then i got given another V6 ... so that was fitted and i ran the car throughout the summer, and sold it on in the winter ..

easiest thing to do is find an old 3L capri and swap all the bits over , you'll need to make engine and gearbox mounts and an exhaust again but having driven x-flow and pinto estates ...the V6 just made a better car
