Explain???? Whats the difference if on orginal cars they are on the top and you put blocks big enough under the axel the mounting point is in the same place and in the same position relative to the leaf spring :?

The axle wants to twist towards the front of the car under load so the tramp bars are fitted to the top to stop this effect. I think this is how it works.

You have to weld them to the axle with the car at ride height (so wheels fitted and whole car resting on them ,this is easy on a proper ramp). Yes they must go on top of the axle and the chassis parts also need chopping and grinding to fit a normal saloon model as well  . You can't expect them to fit surely ?

Anti-tramp bars, also known as radius rods, can be mounted on top or underneath an axle as long as they are parallel to the ground.

If they are mounted above the axle they will be in compression when the car accelerates and if they are mounted underneath they will be under tension.

Either way they are still preventing the axle from rotating about it's axis and winding the springs up which is what creates tramping.HTH.
