  1. Still not got around to putting it in my Anglia but it does make a nice static display. Updated with some new Hilborn Trumpets.
  2. One thing I don't like about Smoothrite, apart from the smell,is it's a b*gger to paint over unless with Smoothrite again. Also there's not a great range of colours so in the past I've mixed my own colours using a couple of small tins like black and white to give a nice grey and red and yellow for a very nice orange.I've not tried it with other combinations and have only mixed them in equal quantities as that way the colour is easy to duplicate if you run out. Good luck anyway.
  3. Riviera Blue. Both are great.
  4. Loving the black look,it's more oldskool.
  5. I've got a half welded '96 Transit in Radiant Red if you fancy going up in the world.
  6. After 10 years I lost interest in my van and sold it on to Mike who improved it with a Zetec. Still working on a replacement.
  7. These guys are good to. http://www.ludlowmotorsport.com/index.php
  8. Probably not the exact model you're looking for but this one was at Stratford last year.
  9. Coilovers are height adjustable so spring length isn't too critical but my preferance is the 10.5". Others may prefer other sizes. Hth.
  10. A 2.8 Capri pulled out in front of me this morning on the way to work, floored it and then got it seriously sideways across both lanes almost losing it,then back the other way and back again before regaining control. Next island the same thing happens again, this time he came within millimetres of kissing the kerb with his rear wheels, very close, very lucky. Next junction he slid it sideways for 40-50 meters before straightening up as he caught up with the traffic. Bl**dy hooligan Definately the hi-light of my week, freakin' brilliant and it sounded superb. What a way to start my day.

Do a search on e-bay for Vactan, direct from the manufacturer and just as good but costs a lot less.
  15. 185/60 x 13" on a 8" rim.
  16. Rally Design do replacement bearings but you would have to check that they're the right size. http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_in ... s_id=10535
  17. Tiscali say it's 7.4Mbps .

  21. Congrats on Jon Hills door repair feature, very informative.
  22. Wow,that's one hell of a paint job, there's so much going on that's not immediately obvious.Top class.
  23. A little bit more info courtesy of Google. "It ran a derivative of an F3 engine,1000cc,61mm short-stroke big bore pushrod Ford that made an ear-piercing 109hp @ the rear wheels @ 10,000 rpm." It was also for sale in Motoring News on the 26/6/1975. "David Vizard/CCC project car,Anglia,d/d Holbay F3 1000,£1250." Bargain.
  24. These are scans of a photocopies so not brilliant but better than nothing. They are all about the suspension that David Vizard designed and made for it. I've never seen a pic of the car itself but it had flush fitting plastic windows and a typical 70's paint job apparently.
  25. All I know is it was a race Anglia built by David Vizard and featured in both CCC and CC. No idea what engine it had as the only feature I've got is about the suspension DV designed and built.
